Homomorphic encryption

One of WE.Vote’s unique features is vote tallying without decryption. We achieve this thanks to homomorphic encryption based on elliptic curves with the El Gamal cryptosystem. Such encryption enables some mathematical operations with encrypted data. As a result, WE.Vote decrypts only the overall results, thus keeping ballot secrecy in tact.
