Smart contracts

A smart contract is an algorithm for managing and sharing information between blockchain nodes. In the WE.Vote online voting system, smart contracts fuel “smart ballot drop boxes”, which can check the voter’s authorization, the accuracy of the ballot data format, and even logical coherency. This is necessary not only for reasons of smooth functioning, but also to secure the service from sabotage with trash or deliberately corrupted data.
